Burned By Blue is a biological accident, resulting in the mutation of bacteria existing in the organic leftovers of abbandoned blue kitchens.

It is an artistic/scientific project where the mutation of organisms from microscopic to macroscopic is being studied.

Later investigations discouvered artistic and creative capacities in these mutated bacteria.


Burned By Blue é um acidente biológico do qual resulta a mutação de bacterias existentes nos lixos orgânicos de cozinhas azuis abandonadas.

E um projecto Artistico/Científico onde é estudada a mutação de organismos de microscópicos para mácroscópicos.

As últimas investigações descobriram que estas bactérias mutantes têm capacidades creativas e artísticas.



HOW TO LOCATE

The project will be present at the FREE MANIFESTA HEADQUARTERS with the distribution of printed material showing an image of hands offering Bacteria Caerulea - The name of the BBB mutated bacteria.

O projecto estará presente na manifesta através da distribuição de material impresso, mostrando a imagem de umas mãos que oferencem Bacteria Caerulea - O nome das bacteria mutadas pelo efeito BBB.

Studied in Lisbon Academie and Muenchen Akademie der Bildenden Kunst.
Works in Video, installation and multimedia.
Working in the invented science of the BBB effect since 1994.

1996 In Lisbon, First presentation of the BBB effect in Loco "The BBB effect over bacteria inside abbandoned blue kitchens", installation.
1998 In Frankfurt, Galerie Fruchtig presented the "BBB effekt", installation and video.
1999 In USA Kansas STate University and Kent State University - Conferences/performances "The BBB effect, more Theories on a pseudo science".
2002 In Lisbon, Galeria Diferença "The BBB effect revisited", news on the BBB investigation, Video and drawings over big size photocopies.
At the present lives and works in Lisbon and works also on other projects besides the BBB investigation.

Trabalha em video instalação e multimédia.
Trabalha na ciência inventada do BBB desde 1994.
