As a part of Free Manifesta, Robin Kahn and Kirby Gookin present TAKE THIS, a project that gives the public artistic license to participate in an exercise that explores the theme of redistribution. A give-away coupon labeled "Take 100% Off All Merchandise at Kaufhaus Hertie," valued at 100 Euros, will be issued to the public with instructions on how to receive merchandise free-of-charge at Kaufhaus Hertie, Frankfurt's leading department store.



HOW TO LOCATE

Coupons will be available at the FREE MANIFESTA HEADQUARTERSand MANIFESTA 4 VENUES. Look for them by cash registers, entrance lobbies, etc.


ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Robin Kahn and Kirby Gookin work together as artists and curators. They produced such public art projects as the time capsule "Cápsula de Tiempo Córdoba" for Expo'92 in Sevilla, Spain and the itinerant anti-copyright communications system "Copiacabana" that traveled by river between Spain and Portugal in 1995. Together, they also formed S.O.S. Int'l, a publishing collective that treats publications and the printed word as public space. Past projects include "Time Capsule: A Concise Encyclopedia by Women Artists," "Promotional Copy," and "Special Issue" (available via Amazon.com, Printed Matter and D.A.P Distributors, New York.).
