The project was developed out of the reason to hide myself, to hide my personal things. I was taking part at the "Open Studios" in my district and I didn´t wanted to make an exhibiton between my furniture so I hid it. I showed an insensitive skin. I vanished personal environment. That´s one of my themes: to hide. You feel stronger, when you hide, you don´t get someone´s opinion about you, but of course it is always better to show profile. That´s my way.
Ich werde eine Art Pappwelt kreiren. Verschiedene Kartons und Pappstücke werden mit Tape zusammengefügt und eine Architectur bilden, die auch Rücksicht nimmt auf Herumstehenedes. Es ist eventuell geplant mich mit der Pappe vorwärts zu bewegen und die ersten zusammengefügten Pappstücke an das gerade Estehenden hinzuzufügen, aber dann auch einen Platz finden, wo ich bleiben kann. Das Projekt ist entsanden aus der Absicht eine Ausstellung in meinen Räumen zu gestalten, aber dabei mein Privates verschwinden zu lassen. Es ist eine u sensible Haut entsanden, die ein wenig erahnen läßt, aber auch vieles unklar läßt.

BIO: Kerstin Junge is born 1975 in Germany and is yet student of the art academy in Kiel close to the baltic. At the moment she is living in Berlin. She got many influences of her student-exchange in Norway in the year 2000. For her the Norwegians showed a special way of making art and performances. They had a way of doing it relaxed and progressive. Norwegian relatives and a mother born in Norway gave her a special connection to that country. Since her half year in Norway, she started to do herself performances with Stijn Lernout and Cornelia Gross. They are called SPOTS. The group was born out of making a statement for an exhibition. Together they wanted not to perform in rules and make a conceptual theatre out of it. They tried to do "spots". Some spots of ideas mixed together. Everyone is acting with their own ideas and react to the others, when they want to. The performances are going on in a way of artificial communication with no glamour, with no politics, but with humour. Kerstin Junge is more interested in doing temporary, spontaneous projects. She was participating at exhibitions in Germany (Kiel, Hamburg, Berlin), Norway, Denmark, Switzerland and at last at the Free Biennial in New York.
Kerstin Junge (geb. 1975 in Wesel) ist derzeit Student der Muthesius-Hoschule für Kunst und Gestaltung in Kiel und lebt in Berlin. Sie hat viele Einflüsse während ihres Aufenthaltes und Austausches in Bergen/Norwegen bekommen im Jahr 2000. Die Norweger zeigten eine spezielle Leichtigkeit in der Kunst und ihren Performances. Die entspannte und ruhige Herangehensweise Projekte anzugehen hat Kerstin Junge auf ihre Projekte übertragen. Ihre norwegische Mutter und der Aufenthalt in Norwegen haben seit dem eine enge Verbindung zu dem Land geknüpft. Seit dem hat Kerstin Junge selbst angefangen Performances mit Stijn Lernout und Cornelia Groß zu gestalten. Sie nennen sich SPOTS.. Die Gruppe versteht sich als ein stilloses Statement. Sie wollten Aktionen kreieren, die nicht nach Mustern gestrickt sind, sondern sie wollen eine küntlich erschaffeneKommunikation entwickeln, die kein Glanz und keine Theorie verbindet , aber Humor.
Kerstins eigene Skulpturen sind ein Pool aus verschiedensten Materielaien und liefern Bilderwelten und Höhlen. Nebenbei entstehen Zeichnungen, die assoziative Geschichten und Uneindeutiges liefern. Zeichnungen und Skulpturenwelten entstehen oft in kürzester Zeit.
